We went to Williamsburg. But I didn't get the phone. Frank is doing better, but he has to take all of these meds. The trip was good. Found the best bok on colonial clothing and their attached meanings ever. It's What Clothes Reveal, the Language of Clothes in Colonial and Federal America by Linda Baumgarten. If anyone ever wants to learn about colonial clothes/period details, that is the book to use. It's huge and heavy, but filled with incredible pictures and even better information. Great price, too. Only $65. God, I love the people at the John D. Rockefeller Research Library. If I ever get a book published (and I hope I do) they totally get a shout out. They deserve it. I'm trying to get my work done before school starts, but with Frank and his heart, and everything else that's going on, it doesn't seem very likely. Ugh. Oh well, at least I've got a good start. 

It really is. Seriously. The trip got put off again. There was a leak at Frank's office, and he had to go there at 11 and didn't come back until about ten minutes ago - Mom went with him and came back around four am. I waited up for her because she didn't have her keys and didn't want me to leave the doors unlocked all night long, so we didn't get to sleep until five. We're leaving either tomorrow or thursday, but we have to be back by Friday afternoon for orientation, so I'll have to speed-research. Of course, that throws off the New Haven schedule. Ugh. We're going to have to rework everything. See? The universe is against me. 

I just downloaded Kyle XY from iTunes. I thought it'd suck, but Steph told me to watch it, so I bought the first episode...and then bought all the rest. This show is awesome! And Declan...yum. Kyle is pretty hot, too, but Declan is my new McDreamy. Well, not exactly. But he's definitely my Late Summer McDreamy. Wait. I've got to go replan my trip. That's all for now, I guess.

I finally changed my lj. I've been planning to for ages, but I kept putting it off. I think it looks pretty nifty, but what do you guys think? Anyway, we're leaving for Williamsburg tomorrow, so Nobody Wins updates will be few and far between for the next few days. I love Williamsburg (shh, don't let that slip to my friends!). There's something about that history-soaked atmosphere that sets my nerdy, writerly self (aka Satan) to feeling all tingly. Even better, I have an actual excuse to drag everyone there and make them go through the historic area with me: Swizzle. I think I'm really falling in love with this project. After Williamsburg, we're planning to go up to New Haven, so sadly, I don't think any of my fic is going to be updated. I'll try, though, I really will! Thank God for Dot (aka Dorothy Parker aka my laptop). Thanks to her I'll be able to get some writing done during the next week or so. Oh yeah, if you read and/or write Grey's Anatomy fic, you might want to head over to grand_delusions lj. It's pretty darned important. Now I've gotta go and deal with that pesky little thing called real life before the Swizzle chat at 9.
