After many, many moons of lengthy phone calls and judiciously applied whining (which was fully deserved on the part of the whinees* I mean, my step-sib got a car) I am finally getting the phone. Okay, it was more like a week of judiciously applied...etc., but still. That was at least many days, or many hours. The most important thing is...I'm getting the phone! I'm getting the phone! I also cut my hand, so I guess that's all for now.
